THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO - April 24, 2019 (LSN)  The play takes place in the Paris home of Bernard, a successful architect who has been juggling three air-hostess fiancées. With careful planning and the help of his disapproving housekeeper Berthe, Bernard has always made sure that he has one fiancée taking off, one landing and one on the ground. With the introduction of quicker planes an unfortunate storm over the North Atlantic, Bernard and his friend Robert will have to brace themselves for a bumpy night as all three women arrive to spend a night at home.

Come fly away with Magnus Theatre and their final offering of the 2018-2019 Season, the hilarious French farce, Boeing Boeing running April 25 to May 11

The fast-paced, non-stop comedy was written by Marc Camoletti in the early 1960s, and is very much a product of that era, evoking images of jet-set era, cocktails for breakfast and international glamour.

“It is one of the funniest plays I have ever experienced,” says Magnus Theatre Artistic Director Thom Currie.  “Patrons who enjoyed the silliness of last season’s Perfect Wedding are sure to love Boeing Boeing.”

Boeing Boeing stars Jacob James as Bernard and Eric Craig as his friend Robert.  These two dynamic actors are making their first performances at Magnus Theatre, each having performed across the continent, from New York to California and Halifax to Vancouver.  Thunder Bay actor Amy Sellors, herself a veteran of the international stage, appears as the dour housekeeper Berthe.  The trio of airline hostesses are Jennifer Dzialoszynski (Perfect Wedding at Magnus) as the Italian fiancée Gabriella, Brianne Tucker (Bluenose at Magnus) as the German Gretchen and Annie Tuma (The Jungle Book at Magnus) as the American Gloria.

“I am thrilled with the level of talent that we have been able to bring to Thunder Bay this season,” continues Currie. “We have actors from across the country and beyond.  It just reaffirms that Magnus continues to be one of the great regional theatres of Canada.”

Boeing Boeing runs at Magnus Theatre April 25 to May 11, and is recommended for all ages.  For tickets visit magnustheatre.com, call 807-345-5552 or visit the box office at the theatre.
