Lakehead Choral Group Spirit of Christmas Concert

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO - November 19, 2018 (LSN) Thunder Bay's own Lakehead Choral Group will perform their annual "Spirit of Christmas Concert" This year's Christmas concert will begin with a very special piece: "Hodie Christus natus est" (Palestrina) - an antiphonal piece in Latin for two choirs, high and low, in which liturgical text is interspersed with traditional Christmas cries of ‘noe, noe’. Contemporary, swing, and traditional seasonal pieces will follow to round out the concert, with many additional treats in store, including guests from TBSO, and audience sing-alongs!
The Lakehead Choral Group is now in its 62st year, and is directed by Susan Korstanje.
