First Annual ShuniahFest September 8th and 9th The Zep Show

#LSN_Arts The Zep Show Mackenzie-Riverside Pizzeria and Lounge
The Mackenzie-Riverside Pizzeria and Lounge is throwing the First Annual ShuniahFest this September 8th and 9th 2017. We have received such overwhelming support from the community over the past year, but especially over the last few summer months that we felt we should do something to return the favour and give other small independent businesses a chance to get their name out and showcase what it is they have to offer.
This year, we have decided to allow these businesses and vendors free admission into the festival, and also have decided to donate 5% of our ticket sales to Macgregor Rec Centre in Shuniah, to go towards their children’s programs. MacGregor Rec Centre is also donating their time Saturday September 9th 2017 between the hours of 1pm and 4pm to run children’s activities during our Festival.
ShuniahFest is an eclectic mix of artists and bands, performing beside the Mackenzie Inn. We will be hosting an outdoor beer gardens, as well as BBQ food outdoors. The restaurant will be serving a modified menu throughout the weekend as well. The festival is all ages, and our experienced staff will be monitoring closely. We are offering Shuttle Service with ticket purchase, and have a bus route from the Hodder Tavern right up to The Flying J so patrons can have a safe, reliable way home.
We have an extensive line up of local talent coming out to play this weekend, including Jesse Horricks, James Marie, Plan B, 12 Gauge Prayer, High The Fire, Phineas Gauge, DJ Black Sheep, J Who Band, DJ Evan Woods, DJ Bevs, Wolfsmock, Big Bad Bobby Blues Band, James Boraski & MomentaryEvolution, Hard Rock and Co, Camden Blues Band, The Married Singlemen, EDLA, Genghis Chron, and last but not least… our headliner The Zep Show!
Tickets are $40 for a day pass and $70 for a weekend pass, and this price includes the use of the shuttle service for either the day or weekend, depending on ticket purchase. A Fireworks display is being donated by the Township of Shuniah and will close our festival Saturday night.
We would like to thank a few of our sponsors, which include Mckevitt Trucking, Sleeping Giant Brewery, Tommy Horricks, Porta Draught, LTL, Hertz, Equipment World, A to Z rentals, Pepsi, The Township of Shuniah, The Hodder Tavern, and anyone I may have missed accidentally
