THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO   -  May 16, 2019   (LSN)   The Friends of Chippewa Park are once again hosting a series of Sunday Concerts at Chippewa Park and are inviting local musicians to apply to play.

According to The Friends President, Lorraine Lortie-Krawczuk the Sunday afternoon concerts feature a wide range of genres throughout the summer and “we encourage as many groups as possible to submit an application to play at one of the open-air concerts this summer.”

A total of 9 groups will be selected.

The concerts are made possible through the annual financial support of the City of Thunder Bay, Recreation and Culture Division and are organized by The Friends of Chippewa Park.

Applications can be obtained by emailing [email protected] and must be submitted by May 31.  The concerts will be held each Sunday at 2 PM from July 7 with the last one scheduled for September 1.
