Symphony Virgins concert aims to tempt newbies

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO   October 20, 2017  -  (LSN)   The question is, “are you experienced?” When it comes to orchestral music the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra wants to make sure you are! And that might be a very good thing.

    Next Wednesday evening, the TBSO’s Conductor-in-Residence, Simon Rivard, is going to lift the covers off the classics and light classics, just for you. One of the delights he’ll be exposing is Chocolats symphoniques, by hip Canadian composer Maxime Goulet. The piece was recently performed by the Montreal Symphony Orchestra and was a tremendous success.

    The audience will get to eat 4 different kinds of chocolate during the 4 movements of the piece. Best of all, the sinfully delightful—and FREE—chocolates are being custom-made for the concert by Choco Litts of Thunder Bay.
    Not only will the chocolates be paired with the music, you can also order a glass of wine or beer to help you relax. The Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra’s first special event of the year aims to tease you out of your comfort zone! Not only first-timers, but any-timers, this one is for you!

     Get your first taste of the Symphony this Wednesday (October 25th), 7:30 at the Da Vinci Centre. Tickets are just $20, and are at available the Community Auditorium Box Office, at the door, or online at tickets.tbca.com.
