UW-Superior hosting Cultural Night

SUPERIOR, WisCONSIN – February 16, 2018 (LSN) The University of Wisconsin-Superior will showcase food and cultures from around the world for its annual Cultural Night on Saturday, March 3, at UW-Superior. The theme for this year’s Cultural Night is “Joy around the World.”
This annual event, which is sponsored by World Students Association (WSA), will feature an international dinner and cultural performances by students.
Dinner is served in the Yellowjacket Union Great Room at 5 p.m. The family style meal will consist of Indian butter chicken and Chinese vegetable dumplings with jollof rice and Brazilian cheese bread finished with tiramisu for dessert and bubble tea to drink.
The performance starts at 6 p.m. in Thorpe Langley Auditorium in Old Main. The community is welcome to attend the family friendly event, which will feature performances from the cultures of Japan, Vietnam, Ojibwe, China, the U.S. and more.
Tickets for the dinner and show are $18 for adults, $15 for students and $6 for children 5 and under. Prices for the show only are $14 for adults and $8 for students. Tickets can be purchased in advance with cash or check at Old Main Room 337 at UW-Superior. A limited number of show-only tickets will be available at the door. The Yellowjacket Union is located at 1605 Catlin Ave. Old Main is at 1710 Weeks Ave.
