THUNDER BAY, September 17, 2018: The Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Breakfast with the Hon. Perrin Beatty on Friday, September 21 at the Valhalla Inn.
Mr. Beatty’s keynote will address the impacts, actual and potential, of the current NAFTA renegotiations, and what Canada can do right now to insulate itself from further US-related risk to make sure that Canadian companies can still prosper.
The Honourable Perrin Beatty is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the 200,000-member Canadian Chamber of Commerce, Canada’s largest and most representative national business association.
Prior to his tenure at the Chamber, Mr. Beatty was President and Chief Executive Officer of Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) and President and CEO of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
Mr. Beatty also served as Member of Parliament for 21 years, first elected to the House of Commons in 1972. During his time in Parliament, he served as Minister in seven different portfolios, including Treasury Board, National Revenue, Solicitor General, Defence, National Health and Welfare, Communications and External Affairs.
