Sault Ste. Marie, ON – November 30, 2-17 (LSN) Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce (SSMCOC) President, Jason Naccarato has announced his resignation as the business organization’s President to pursue a brief contract opportunity within the Ontario Legislative Assembly. Serving the Ontario Legislative Assembly from the constituency office of MPP Ross Romano, Mr. Naccarato will promote Sault Ste. Marie as a great place to do business and advance opportunities for economic prosperity in the community.
Mr. Naccarato joined the Chamber’s Board of Directors in 2012 and has played a major role in advancing the advocacy efforts of the local Chamber of Commerce. His research and analysis that identified areas for improvement in the City’s industrial and commercial property tax policy remains a cornerstone of the Chamber’s efforts to make Sault Ste. Marie tax competitive for business.
As a volunteer, Mr. Naccarato has contributed hundreds of hours toward the advancement of the Chamber membership. He was instrumental in ensuring that Chamber members were kept up-to-date on current legislation and issues impacting business as well as funding opportunities, cost-saving energy programs and other Chamber affinity programs. As local entrepreneur, he will remain a driver of the local economy and an advocate for business. He is a proud father who lives for his two little girls.
The Chamber’s Board of Directors, its staff and its membership look forward to working with Mr. Naccarato in his new role within the Government of Ontario as part of the constituency office of MPP Ross Romano.
The Chamber’s Board of Directors and its Executive will be instituting a succession plan during the coming weeks.
