2017 Outstanding Business Achievement Awards

Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario – December 12, 2017 (LSN) With its Outstanding Business Achievement Awards just a little over a month away, the Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce (SSMCOC) is well underway with plans for the January gala where it will announce the recipients of more than 20 awards recognizing commitment to professional and organizational excellence.
According to SSMCOC CEO Rory Ring, the business awards, which are handed out annually by the local Chamber, started humbly in 1985 with a handful of awards recognizing businesses that had demonstrated significant growth and economic contributions as well as the individuals that led those enterprises.
“In the years since,” according to Ring, “the Chamber introduced new awards and categories, recognizing specific areas of excellence including innovation, human resources and management practices, marketing and customer service, among others.”
The Outstanding Business Achievement Awards will be held at The Machine Shop on Saturday, January 20th, 2018 and will feature a red carpet event and awards show hosted by Tim Murphy.
The evening starts at 6:00pm with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, followed by the award presentations at 7:00pm. The evening will be rounded out with live music, networking and late-night fare. The Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce applauds all off the various businesses that have been nominated for one of this year’s business awards and thanks the many individuals that took the time to nominate a local business. All of these businesses and individuals are, in their own unique ways, innovators and leaders. They are all worthy of recognition for their successful pursuit of business excellence.
