#LSN_Health Superior North EMS wants to help keep you healthy
THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO - October 25, 2017 (LSN) Flu season is fast approaching and Superior North EMS is reminding everyone to get their flu shot. According to Health Canada, the risk of getting the flu is higher in the late fall and winter months. The flu is also ranked among the top 10 leading causes of death in Canada. Getting the flu shot can protect you if you are exposed to the virus, prevent you from getting very sick and help protect other people because you are less likely to spread the virus to others. You can also protect yourself and those around you by washing your hands frequently, coughing and sneezing into your arm, avoid touching your nose, mouth and eyes with your hands, eating healthy and getting plenty of rest.
Superior North EMS wants to help keep you healthy this Flu Season. Come and see a paramedic to get your flu shot, lower your risk and the risk of transmitting it to those around you and let’s have a healthy season together!
Superior North EMS will be holding clinics that are open to the public at the EMS Headquarters on 105 South Junot Ave on Monday Oct 30th 3 pm – 7 pm, Tuesday Oct 31st 7am – 12 pm, Wed Nov 1st 2 pm – 5 pm and Thursday Nov 2nd 11 am – 7 pm. Remember to wear short sleeves.
