Meet the candidates: Moe Comuzzi TBNewsWatch

“Thunder Bay has tremendous opportunities if the City implements a plan and makes the right policy choices in the coming years,” said Comuzzi.  “We must implement a plan as to where we would like to see ourselves in 5-10 and 20 years.  This plan must be measured quartlery to ensure we can track our successes and our short comings.

Involving Stakeholders, the Community and Businesses is essential for our new council to make a sustainable and an attainable plan.

Our economic Opportunities are endless but we need to reduce Red Tape, and bureacracy, changing current zoning restrictions that will create a more modernized process that will assist in revitalization and growth.  This will provide more variety of uses that will compliment neighborhoods and businesses.

Tell me what I can do...Not what I cannot.

We are situated near two major Borders, Pigeon River and International Falls. a Major Highway, A Major Railway, and a Major Waterway.

All we need is the:

  • Direction
  • The Pace we want to go
  • And the size of the growth we want to accomplish.

We cannot accomplish our goals of growth and prosperity without having a Quality of Life.  Working with city agencies and social organizations to develop short and long term startegies that will battle...

  • Addiction.
  •  Crime
  •  Homelessness
  •  Mental Illness

Rebuilding our neighborhoods by removing zoning restrictions and red tape that has stiffled growth so neighborhoods and businesses can be self sustaining together.
With Economic growth we can provide our families good paying long term job opportunities.
However....

Self Sustaining Neighborhoods= A Healthy Safe Complete and Prosperous Thunder Bay.

Families and Neighbours Looking after Families and Neighbours

Leadership/Vision, Economic Opportunity and Lifestyle must work together with the plan to acheive our goals of an all encompassing, safe and prosperous Thunder Bay.
Without one the other will suffer.

Frederick Ozanam

" Do not be afraid of new beginnings
Be Creative
Be Inventive."

"You must not be content with tiding the poor over the poverty crises: you must study their condition and the injustices which brought about such Poverty, with the aim of Long Term improvement."

A Safe, Healthy and Prosperous Thunder Bay, that is what my goal is for this wonderful, loving and giving community.
