Back on February 8th Parks announcmence his endorsement of Christine Elliott for leader of the Ontario PC Party. Derek Parks has also chosen to take a leave from the Ontario PC Executive, which is required to remain neutral during a leadership election, in order to throw his full support behind Christine Elliott. This week, Christine Elliott begins her tour of Northern Ontario with stops in Cochrane and Timmins on Friday. Additional stops will be announced soon.
“I am dedicated to rural and Northern Ontario. From real progress on the Ring of Fire to investing in improved health care access, I will fight for Northern Ontarians as Leader and as Premier. I am looking forward to working alongside Derek in Queen’s Park to bring real change to northern communities.” - Christine Elliott
Parks says on Facebook, Patrick Brown is the only leader for the Ontario PC Party that has given the north the attention we have been demanding for decades. His passion for the north and the fact he invited me along for the ride makes me proud to throw my endorsement behind him.
I have traveled all over northern Ontario with Patrick showcasing what we have, the potential that exists and the problems we need to change. Thanks to all those that welcomed him and provide their stories on what they want to see happen. We have not seen a leader in any party actually drive across the entire north and I have the photos to show it. So please consider buying a membership to help me make sure that the leader of the Ontario PC Party has our interests at heart. In just over 2 years, he has been north more than 30 times.
