Docs detail level of criminality of illegals housed in Cornwall’s “tent city”

CORNWALL, ONTARIO - August 25, 2018 (LSN) In the middle of the surge of illegal migrants self-deporting from the U.S. as a result of Justin Trudeau’s “Welcome to Canada” tweet, Cornwall, Ontario, population 47,000, discovered it would be home to a newly constructed 500 person refugee camp, erected on the lawn of a private conference centre by the armed forces.
Locals complained of noise and a lack of information from both the municipality and the federal government, as hundreds of what they were told were mostly Haitians, were plunked into the town to await immigration processing after entering illegally at Lacolle, QC.
If the feds weren’t offering information, we were going to get it from them another way, so we filed an access to information request seeking answers.
What kind of people were crossing at Lacolle only to be off-loaded into Cornwall?
The documents, mostly a prepared list of talking points, attempted to downplay the criminality of those crossing at LaColle.
“Less than 1% of asylum seekers at Lacolle have serious criminality and less than 1% of asylum seekers have been detained”
That seems low, so maybe we shouldn’t worry. Except they also say that at the peak of summer, there were 350 migrants crossing daily. That means roughly three people at that one crossing PER DAY, every single day, are being detained for serious criminality.
And those are the ones they catch.
Public safety bureaucrats also discuss how the migrants are getting into Canada - what channels they’re using to land themselves in the U.S. to stage their future asylum claim.
“There appear to be two main pathways for this movement. First, there is a route through the US using genuinely issued visas and then proceeding to the Canadian border after a short stay in the US.”
In other words, these folks are country shoppers with no regard for the laws of either country. They’re not refugees, by any measure.
“The second route involves migrants reaching North America through the Mexican corridor. Once in the U.S., migrants from both pathways make their way to Canada using routes that are available on the internet or by community word of mouth.”
The Mexican corridor is the same one MS-13 uses to get into the U.S., to traffic people and drugs, to ritually murder and kidnap and torture citizens.
MS-13 is considered the most dangerous gang in the world and according to reports in the National Post, it’s had a presence in Toronto for at least 10 years, with police being warned to be on the look-out for them.
These documents don’t tell us what all those serious criminals trying to get into Lacolle everyday have done, but it's likely some of them are MS-13.
And would they get a drawn-out refugee admissibility hearing years from now, waiting on Canadian soil until they get it?
