#LSN_Opinion The Rebel Media on the PC Leadership Race

TORONTO, ONTARIO  February 7, 2018   (LSN)  Ontario is just over four months away from the 2018 general election.

The Progressive Conservative caucus was quick to elect MPP, Vic Fedeli to be the interim leader hoping he would be the person to lead them into the general election.

The party executive disagreed, and decided in a tight vote to conduct an expedited leadership race before the general election.

Liberal Premier Kathleen Wynne has never been more vulnerable.

But of course, the Ontario PC Party is consistently able to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. This time the blunder came when disgraced former Ontario PC leader, Patrick Brown was faced with allegations of sexual misconduct. Brown's overnight resignation sparked turmoil in the party and led to many chaotic late-night meeting and calls.

Now members of the Ontario PC Party will go to vote for a new leader on March 9, 2018. But only those who purchased a membership before the cutoff of February 16, 2018 will be eligible to vote.

And The Rebel will be covering the leadership election every step of the way.
