THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO - August 12, 2019 (LSN) History comes alive at Fort William Historical Park (FWHP) during the Battle of Fort William on August 17th and 18th from 10am to 5pm daily.
Enjoy a weekend filled with action, drama and suspense! Visitors will experience an exciting battlefield sequence highlighting 19th century battlefield combat and strategy, learn about life as a soldier, watch period medical techniques in action, and get pulled into the drama by interacting with Fort William’s costumed inhabitants. Visitors can also try their hand at axe throwing, firing a historic musket and paddling a historic canoe along the Kaministiquia River. Children will be able to join in army drills and make crafts.
“The Battle of Fort William is an excellent opportunity for visitors to immerse themselves in Fort William Historical Park’s heritage program,” states Sergio Buonocore, FWHP’s General Manger. “The Battle of Fort William offers an exciting and interactive experience the whole family can enjoy.”
