DULUTH, MINNESOTA – March 24, 2018  (LSN) The Duluth Park Series presented by Duluth Running Co. is a collaboration project with Duluth Running Co., DLH Clothing, and Hoops Brewing designed to bring awareness and make focused investments in Duluth Parks.

In 2018, Duluth Running Co. is throwing a launch party for four different parks around the area: Chester, Lester, Hartley, and the Lakewalk. Each launch party will include the release of a limited production shirt collaborated on by Duluth Running Co. and DLH Clothing, alongside the release of a limited production specialty “Park” brew by Hoops Brewing.

The first launch party benefits Chester Park and is on March 29th starting at 6pm at Hoops Brewing. Duluth Running Co. will be launching and selling limited edition Chester Park shirts designed by DLH Clothing. And Dave Hoops, owner of Hoops Brewing, will be debuting his Chester Bowl Pale Ale, specially dry hopped with Mosaic hops.  The night will also feature great giveaways for those in attendance. The launch party is free to attend and family friendly.

“Chester Bowl is committed to enabling every child and family to get outside and enjoy the outdoors through our programs, regardless of income” said Executive Director Dave Schaeffer.  “The requests for financial support to participate in our summer camp and winter ski and snowboard program have increased significantly over the last three years.  The generosity of these local businesses, and those coming to this event to support Chester Bowl, will ensure that we can continue offering scholarships to all families that need financial support to participate in our programs.  We are so grateful for this partnership.  We love thinking about the difference these scholarships will make for kids and families as they spend time immersed in our beautiful park.”

All proceeds from the sale of limited edition shirts on the launch night and a portion of proceeds from each pint of Hoops Chester Bowl Pale Ale will go towards the Scholarship program at Chester. Last year, Chester awarded over $25,000 in scholarship money between their summer kids camps and winter ski program, and were able to fulfill all of the scholarship requests. However, by meeting the scholarship requests, the Chester scholarship fund suffered a deficit and there is still work to be done to restore that impact.
