#LSN_Outdoors   Save our Carousel

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  - December 26, 2017    (LSN)  Over the next few weeks, the Friends of Chippewa will be launching the Save our Carousel fundraising campaign and we need your help! This restoration is so important to so many people, and we’re looking for YOUR great stories or memories from summers on the Chippewa Park Merry Go Round. This carousel has been around for so many generations so we KNOW there are tons of sentimental/interesting/funny/touching/everyday stories out there.

Chapples Christmas Parade or Christmas Show at the FW Gardens. We have been told that at one time the Chippewa Park Carousel Horses were converted into reindeer in order to pull Santa's Sleigh in either the Chapples Parade or Christmas Show. If anyone has pictures of the horses pulling the sleigh can you please share them with us

We’re also hoping for photos of you, a friend, or a loved one on the carousel. Anything helps! To submit, add your memory and/or photo to our Facebook page, or email it to [email protected]
