THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO - April 8, 2018 (LSN) TWO SUSPECTS ARRESTED BY THUNDER BAY POLICE SERVICE ON SATURDAY.
A 31 year old ADAM JOHN GOODWIN & a 42 year old JASON ROBERT RITCHAT appeared separately by video in W.A.S.H. (Weekend And Statutory Holiday) Court today, Sunday April 8,2018 from the Thunder Bay Police Station. His Worship, Marcel Donio is presiding. Provincial Crown Adriana Nigro is here along with Duty Counsel Lianne Roberge.
ADAM GOODWIN is up first. He’s alleged to have committed a break & enter and along with his co-accused JASON RITCHAT yesterday morning, are alleged to have committed a violent aggravated assault.
Both men are charged with break and enter as well as aggravated assault. The victim suffered some injuries.
RITCHAT has extra charges from previous alleged incidents.
On Jan 10,2018 he was wanted by police for an alleged theft from the Shell Station on Arthur St. He’s also facing several breach of probation charges from previous and current allegations. The Director of Communications for Thunder Bay Police did not put him on a WANTED WEDNESDAY poster.
Crown Attorney Nigro is not consenting to their release due to the violent allegations. Both men are ordered not to contact their victim. And both are transported to the Thunder Bay Jail today.
