Threats to Zoar Lutheran Church in Tofte

TOFTE, COOK COUNTY, MINNESOTA - November 11. 2017 (LSN) The Zoar Lutheran Church in Tofte, has received several threatening letters. The Cook County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating due to the nature of the threats.
Daren Blanck Pastor, of Zoar Lutheran Church in Tofte, never thought his church would be a target for Threatening Letters. But multiple threatening letters were sent to his church in Tofte, Minnesota.
In an interview with KBJR from Duluth. Pastor Blanck said. "we're just asking people to keep their ears open and their eyes open to see if there's anyone that had some concerns or grievances." He went on to say "church leaders say they are not taking these threats lightly. They are planning to incorporate extra security.
Especially with the recent church shooting in Texas, Zoar is taking some precautions of their own.
"We're going to make sure that the doors are locked after the worship service begins," said Pastor Blanck. "We've sort of stepped up surveillance and security here."
