CRACK BUST BY THUNDER BAY POLICE AT LANDMARK HOTEL

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO - April1, 2019 (LSN) Thunder Bay Police arrested 4 people yesterday two from Toroonto and from Thunder Bay, Sunday March 31,2019 in a crack bust at the Landmark Hotel. Officers responded shortly after 6:30am to make the arrests.
Over $21 000 worth of crack was seized and $8000 cash
A 39 year old MOSIAH MOSES PETER, a black man with suspected gangster connections from Mississauga was arrested and charged with possession for purpose of trafficking of crack. He allegedly had a quantity of cash. He faces a further charge of assault on an indigenous man. PETER is heading to the overcrowded Thunder Bay Jail.
A 38 year old ANTHONY NICHOLAS KAPLANIS, a local white man was arrested and charged with possession of crack for purpose of trafficking. He has a charge of assault on an indigenous man along with PETER. It’s further alleged that he obstructed police by providing a false name. KAPLANIS was also wanted on a warrant since December 2018 for robbery of an iPhone. The Director of Communications at TBPS never featured him on Wanted Wednesday. He also has outstanding robbery and sexual assault charge. He’s also heading to the overcrowded Thunder Bay Jail.
A 37 year old CELINE BELLEAU, a local white woman was arrested and charged with possession of crack cocaine for purpose of trafficking. She was out on undertaking and is facing a breach charge. She has outstanding impaired driving charges. She is heading to the Correctional Center for women. BELLEAU will have a Bail Hearing on April 10,2019
A 25 year old SHANE BENJAMIN , a large black man from Mississauga was also arrested and charged with possession of crack cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. He facing proceeds of crime charge as well.
BENJAMIN has 2 breach of recognizance and 1 breach of probation charge extra. BENJAMIN is on bail conditions from Toronto. He’s allegedly supposed to be in Toronto with his surety and has an upcoming trial in May and July in Toronto from 2018 drug charges.
He’s heading to the very overcrowded Thunder Bay Jail.
