THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO - December 15, 2018  (LSNA 22 year old JONATHAN JOSEPH YELLOWHEAD appeared by video in W.A.S.H. (Weekend And Statutory Holiday) Court today, Saturday December 15,2018 from the Thunder Bay Police Station on Balmoral Street. Her Worship, Denette Maslach is presiding. Provincial Crown Derrick Silvestro is here along with Duty Counsel Aranka Golphy

YELLOWHEAD is from Fort Hope Indian Reserve #64

 

YELLOWHEAD is wearing a blue zip up hoodie and has messy hair. He's mumbling a lot. He's of average height and has a stocky build. 
Nishnawbe -Aski Police Service arrested YELLOWHEAD yesterday and transferred to the Thunder Bay Police Service.

Justice of the Peace Maslach has no choice but to detain in custody. 
Second degree murder is an automatic detention order. The accused will need to appear before a Superior Court Judge for any chance of being released.

JYELOWHEAD was on probation since May 22,2018 from previous criminal convictions. He's also charged with Breach of Probation.

ELLOWHEAD indicates his lawyer is George Joseph. He is remanded in custody and will be transferred to the Thunder Bay Jail right away

 

Inside Edition sources confirmm that JONATHAN JAMES YELLOWHEAD has a criminal record of violence, gang associations and has served several sentences in jail. He also has 2 very young daughters

 

Good job by TBPS investigators. The TBPS has a solve rate of over 90% for native on native violent crime. Is that racist?
