On August 26, 2018 at approximately 4:30 p.m. a patrol officer noticed a male on an e-bike speaking to two young girls in the May Street and Isabel Street area.
The officer observed the male driving with one of the girls on the bike and she was not wearing a helmet. The officer conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver and the 9 year old female passenger.
A check of the male on the police records system confirm that the male is prohibited from communicating or being around persons under the age of 16 years old.
The male was arrested and escorted to the Balmoral Police Station.
Michael Danial Bewcyk, 70 years old of Thunder Bay has been charged with Breach of Prohibition Order - Communicate under 16 years. He appeared in court and was remanded into custody.

Alleged Child Abductor and Registered Sex Offender Michael Danial Bewcyk, age 70 made a video appearance in bail court from the District Jail today.

Today in Bail Courtroom 104, the taxpaying public arrived to pack the courtroom to standing room only.
They were there to see if Registered Sex Offender MICHAEL DANIAL BEWYCK would be released on bail.

NOT A SINGLE CRIMINAL WAS RELEASED THIS AFTERNOON! NOT ONE!!!
Justice of the Peace Denette Maslach (who is famous for releasing Charles Casmey on bail so he could later allegedly commit murder) remanded EVERY SINGLE OFFENDER INTO CUSTODY.
