THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO – Juarary 30, 2019 (LSN) USL League Two (previously the PDL) released the 2019 schedule today including the 14-game regular season schedule for the Thunder Bay Chill. The Thunder Bay Chill will be celebrating their 20th season in the league opening on the road facing Kaw Valley FC on May 24th and the St. Louis Lions on May 26th.
The Heartland Division remains at six teams. However, the Chicago FC United has moved over to the Great Lakes division and is replaced by a new team out of Green Bay, WI.
Following a couple of exhibition games at home on June 1st and 2nd against the Winnipeg Lions, the Chill will have its league home opener on June 7th and 8th hosting WSA Winnipeg. The following weekend Winnipeg returns the favour by hosting the Chill for two on June 14th and 15th.
The Des Moines Menace come to Thunder Bay on June 21st and 22nd, Green Bay visits on June 28th, the St. Louis Lions will celebrate Canada day with us on July 1st, and Kaw Valley FC ends a five game home stand for the Chill on July 6th.
The Chill will finish the regular season on the road with Des Moines on July 11th and 13th and Green Bay on July 14th.
The Chill are coming off a disappointing 2018 season where they did not make the playoffs after being a finalist in the 2017 PDL National Championship game losing 2-1 to the Charlotte Eagles. The Chill have been to the PDL National Championship on 3 other occasions. In 2010 and 2013 where they lost to the Portland Timbers U23 and Austin FC respectively and won the Championship in 2008 in Laredo, Texas.

The Chill will be celebrating their 20th anniversary this season and will be announcing different activity and events throughout the year to promote 20 proud years of bringing high level soccer and national exposure to Thunder Bay.
The Thunder Bay Chill plays in the 74-team prospect USL League Two which is the highest level of amateur soccer in North America and an important stepping-stone for top professionals.
