Chill vs Lions in exhibition Game May 26 - 27th

Thunder Bay, ON – The Premier Development League (PDL) released the 2018 schedule today including the 14-game regular season schedule for the Thunder Bay Chill who will playing in their 19th season in the league. The Chill will also face the Winnipeg Lions in the perennial exhibition series on May 26th and 27th.
The Heartland Division remains at six teams, with Sporting Kaw Valley (playing out of Lawrence, Kansas) replacing Saint Louis FC U23.
The Chill opens the regular season on the road for two on June 2nd and 3rd against WSA Winnipeg. The home opener is the following weekend when the Des Moines Menace travels to Thunder Bay on Friday June 8th. The Chill will face Chicago FC United the following night to complete its two-game home stand.
The remainder of the schedule has the Chill on the road on June 15th against Sporting Kaw Valley and 16th in Des Moines. WSA Winnipeg visits Thunder Bay on June 22nd and 23rd prior to a three-game road trip where the Chill will face the St. Louis Lions on June 30th and then play Chicago FC United for a pair on July 2nd and 3rd. The Chill will end the regular season with 3 games at home when the St. Louis Lions visit Thunder Bay on July 6th and 7th and Sporting Kaw Valley comes in on July 11th.
The Chill are coming in as a finalist in the 2017 PDL National Championship game losing 2-1 to the Charlotte Eagles. The Chill have been to the PDL National Championship on 3 other occasions. In 2010 and 2013 where they lost to the Portland Timbers U23 and Austin FC respectively and won the Championship in 2008 in Laredo, Texas.
Season tickets for the 2018 regular league games have gone on sale today on-line at www.thunderbaychill.com. Back this year is the kids club card allowing all youth to see every Chill game and receive additional benefits throughout the season. Purchase Adult or Senior ticket ONLY by March 1st and receive the new 2018 Supporter scarf.
The Thunder Bay Chill plays in the 74-team prospect focused Premier Development League (PDL) which is the highest level of amateur soccer in North America and an important stepping-stone for top professionals.
