THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  -  June 7, 2019  (LSN) The Thunder Bay Chill (0-2-0) are looking to get back to league play this weekend as they host WSA Winnipeg (0-5-0) this Friday June 7 and Saturday June 8th at [email protected]. Kickoff is 7:30pm both nights.

The Chill are hoping to continue their form after last weekend’s friendlies against the Lions that saw the Chill win 5-0 and tie 1-1.  “The friendlies are always good for us as they help us prepare for our league matches and hopefully, we get back to form and winning the league games that will help us gain a spot in the play-offs,’ commented head coach Giovanni Petraglia.

The Chill had a challenging start on the road kicking off with two loses to Kaw Valley FC and to St. Louis Lions and will be eager to start putting quality points in the standings. With WSA Winnipeg struggling now this will be a good opportunity for the Chill to get back in the mix. “The records between teams means nothing as WSA always plays us tough no matter what the scenario is. We have to be focused and prepared to play a tough defensive team,” replied Petraglia.

Friday night’s game is Dougall Media night followed by Chronicle Journal night on Saturday. Doors open at 6:30pm both nights.
