Thunder Bay, ON - November 30, 2017  (LSN) The Thunder Bay Border Cats are happy to announce that Mitchell Feller will be returning for the 2018 summer as their head coach. Last summer was Feller’s first with the Cats, and he immediately had to deal with adversity when the team was forced to spend nearly three weeks on the road to start the season due to field issues.

Coach Feller says he looks forward to coming back to the lone Canadian team in the Northwoods League. “I am excited to return to Thunder Bay for this summer. The Thunder Bay community and Border Cats fans are second to none. The Border Cats organization is doing something special.” Feller continues, “It is a pleasure to work with Dan and I look forward to working with him again in 2018. We have been able to build a good foundation and will continue our mission to bring a championship to Thunder Bay."

“It was quite the introduction to the Northwoods League this past summer for Coach Feller with all the issues but he did a great job and I feel learned a lot from the experience,” said General Manager Dan Grant. “We feel he will build off that experience and help put together a competitive squad and lead Thunder Bay to a third league title.”

The Border Cats home opener for the 2018 Northwoods League season is June 2 with a 7:35pm start time. Ticket Packages are currently available at https://squareup.com/store/thunder-bay-border-cats/
