Ice Races in Shuniah

 THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO -  February 14, 2019  (LSN) Although mother nature has not been on our side, Ice Racing Motorcycles Thunder Bay and Area have now cleared a track and started to practice out on the ice this past weekend.

Taking place on Wildgoose Bay on Lake Superior (you can access the road to the lake through the Lakeview Lodge parking lot @ 815 Lakeshore Drive), the racers are practicing and starting up a few races, depending on the number of people. Lakeview Lodge is also now open on Sundays (for February and March) 1-6pm as well, so people have a place to warm up and grab some food while out for the day.

The public is invited to come out on Sundays and see what it is all about. They will be out on the track every Sunday in February and March and they usually start up around 12pm noon. Ice Racing Motorcycles Thunder Bay and Area have been doing this many years and with some racers retiring or taking a break, they invite new people to get involved.
